I plan on posting a song everyday, and some other stuff too.
Also, sorry for just completely ignoring this for a while. A broken computer, school stuff, NFL playoffs, Michigan basketball season, and pure laziness all kept me away. NOT ANYMORE!
Expecting only 20,000, over 100,000 fans traveled from all over the world for "The Last Dispatch" concert
This is too good to pass up. Maybe my favorite band ever, Dispatch, is giving away all 4 of their CDs for free, all you have to do is tweet about it, facebook it, and email a few people. If you're not sure if you're a fan of Dispatch, do it anyway, and get them. They are the biggest band in independent music history. The studio albums aren't as good as the live albums, but they are pretty solid. HOWEVER, the coolest part about this, is that they are going on another reunion tour this summer. I will be attending, and if anyone wants to come with me, please do. www.dispatchmusic.com to get all the music
Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg just released this song. I guess it's the first song of the soundtrack to the movie they are making together. Yes, they are actually making a movie. Can't wait.
Star Slinger is a really cool new producer who you'll be hearing a lot of, whether you know it or not. This is his remix with Nikki Minaj loops. It start off a little redundant, I think, but it's awesome after about 1:45.
So this year Em and Jay-Z did their home and home concert series. Em's XM radio station just played the whole Detroit show and it's now in mixtape form. I was here, and I can not wait to listen to this again.
I've been really busy doing nothing lately, but I'm back. Here's Ro Spit's newest video from his next mixtape called Concepts: Selektions. More info HERE
Well, you might have heard DJ Earworm's end of the year mixes before. It's all the biggest hits of the year in one giant mash-up. DOWNLOAD HERE
It's always fun to listen to. It's like nostalgia. The year just flashes before you're eyes. I hear some of these songs and can't help but think of all the great times that seem so long ago. Where has the year gone? What did I do last New Year's Eve? Man, 2010 was one of the best years of my life, I gotta say. Second semester freshman year was one hell of a time. I'm going to miss those nights in the dorm, procrastinating until 4 am with everyone else. This summer had to be one of the best too. I met some great friends and ended up hanging out with some of the last people I expected, but it was awesome. Enough reminiscing, time to start a new chapter in life. 2011, here I come. I'm looking forward to it.
This is a song, and video by a band called The Protocol. I don't know anything about them, but this video was filmed over the course of 24 hours with each frame of video being 30 seconds. It's a really cool one. Download the song here
In honor of the new year, Flosstradamus has given us a new mix with the best songs of 2010. Starts off with a lot of house music, but what would a 2010 mix be without WAKA. My favorite part is from about 40 minutes through the end. Enjoy.
This is a new Talib track that unfortunately doesn't look like it made the cut for Gutter Rainbows. Either way, its a bit slower than other stuff he's been dropping lately, but definitely one of my favorite things hes put out in a while. Check it out:
I've been waiting for this one too. I've always liked Asher Roth and this guy Nottz Raw is real good too. I know a lot of people don't like Asher, especially my roommate Neil. Every time a new song comes out, I play it and Neil hate it immediately. Haters gonna hate, right? Enough of me, here's the tape.
